Usually when speaking at events, we look out at the smiling faces watching us.  On July 8, 2020 we saw a large parking lot filled with cars.

This period is all about making the best of the situation and staying positive.  We were moved to see the great turn out and how happy people were to chat before the movie - at a social distance.  As depicted in the film, Ben Gurion was a very interesting and inspiring person.

We thank everyone for coming and supporting Israel Bonds and Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University, and wish everyone continued health and safety until we can all meet again."

A bond is a connection. An Israel bond is a meaningful connection to our Jewish homeland.

How fitting that we found ourselves bonding together in the spirit of community, connecting at a Drive-In movie to share in the experience of Ben-Gurion: Epilogue. The retro atmosphere of the Drive-In was a perfect venue to get out of our homes and safely see our friends in the community, 'face to face!' Drive-Ins are a rarity these days, but they were formative movie-going experiences during the 1950's and 60's.

It's important to also understand how far Israel has come from those early years and how much our small but precious homeland has accomplished and shared with the world. We're so privileged to serve our Israel Bonds investors, who continue to play an integral part in this great partnership.

Enjoy the photos! Share and post on your social networks - spread the word!"

It was wonderful to see so many of our community members mingling in a physically distanced manner prior to the start of our event.

Thank you for helping us defy Covid-19 by attending our Drive-In Movie Event Under the Stars and bringing great kavod and honour to Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, after whom Ben-Gurion University of the Negev was named."
