Israel Bonds
Bar & Bat Mitzvah Program
What is the Bar & Bat Mitzvah Program?
Launched in 2002, the Jewish Day School Bar & Bat Mitzvah program gives Bar & Bat Mitzvah-aged students the opportunity to become direct supporters of the State of Israel with Israel Bonds.
Young people who participate in this program often share their pride in knowing that owning Israel Bonds is partnering with a nation that is pushing the boundaries of life-saving innovations in hi-tech, green-tech, clean-tech and biotechnology.
Participating Schools
How it Works
Decision on Contribution
Parents and organisers of the Bar & Bat Mitzvah Program at each participating school decide on a set amount.
Total Contribution
The chosen amount is then multiplied by the number of participating students.
Investment
Each student's family invests the total contribution amount on behalf of their child. This investment replaces traditional gift-giving for each bar/bat mitzvah in the class.
Bond Allocation
At the conclusion of the program, each student receives a bond along with the accrued interest.
A Bar & Mat Mitzvah only happens once!
But their connection with Israel lasts a lifetime...
The State of Israel benefits from every single investor
Students are united in a meaningful commemoration of their Bar & Bat Mitzvah year
Students are empowered by being direct supporters of the State of Israel
Students learn about investing and the importance of saving money
