Dr. Yehezkel Caine

Dr. Caine is currently the President of Herzog Medical Centre in Jerusalem, Israel. He earned his M.D. in 1973 from Hadassah, Hebrew University Medical School, in Jerusalem. He is a USAF Diplomate in Advanced Aerospace Medicine and in Hyperbaric Medicine and is board certified in general surgery in Israel. Dr. Caine served in the Israeli military starting in1967. He held a variety of positions, including Course Commander of Flight Surgeons and Aviation Medicine, Consultant to the IAF Aircraft Accident Investigation Board, Commander of the Israeli Air Force Aeromedical Center, Deputy Surgeon General of the IDF Air Force, and, from 1991-1994, Surgeon General of the Israel AirForce. In 1985, he became Senior Staff Surgeon in the Department of General Surgery at Hadassah University Hospital. From 1995 to 2020, Dr. Caine served as CEO and Director-General of Herzog Hospital. Since 2020, he has served as the hospital's President.

Dr. Michael Gordon

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dr. Michael Gordon studied medicine at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. His training spanned the UK, US, Canada and Israel.
He received the first Royal College certificate in Geriatric Medicine in Canada, and served as Chief of Geriatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital, and Chief of Geriatrics and Internal Medicine at Baycrest Geriatric Health Care Centre for 44 years.

Dr. Gordon served in the Israeli Air Force from 1969 – 1973.

At present, he is semi-retired and is Emeritus Professor of Medicine, and a member of the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto. Dr. Gordon is also a prolific author of books and articles.
